SIPHT Web Interface

Welcome to the SIPHT web portal. SIPHT predicts intergenic loci in any of the over 1500 bacterial replicons in the NCBI database based on the presence of sequence conservation upstream of a putative Rho-independent terminator and annotates these loci for numerous features that provide clues into their potential regulation, function, and/or evolution vis a vis previously confirmed intergenic transcripts. Several parameters in the SIPHT search can be adjusted to alter the specificity or sensitivity of the predictions. An explanation of these parameters and instructions on how to change them as well as a guide to interpreting the SIPHT output can be found at the search launch page. Once your search is complete (1-4 hours depending on your replicon of interest and the search parameters used) you will receive and email with the SIPHT output attached.
